What We Collect

SabahGuide.com is a static informational website. We do not require user accounts, logins, or registration. We collect minimal data as described below.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use the Website. This includes anonymised data such as page views, referring sources, device types, and approximate geographic location. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

Issue Reports

The "Report an Issue" feature allows visitors to flag outdated or incorrect content. This form collects the page URL, issue type, and an optional description. No personal information (name, email, phone) is required or collected unless you voluntarily include it in the description field.

Reports are processed through Web3Forms and stored in a private Notion database accessible only to the SabahGuide editorial team.

Newsletter Signups

If you subscribe to our free weekly email, Sabah This Week, we collect the email address you provide. We use it to send you the newsletter and, where relevant, to note which channel you signed up from so we can improve our content. Your email is processed and stored by our email/CRM provider, Swipe One, and is never sold or shared with unrelated third parties.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us to have your details removed.

Cookies

This Website uses minimal cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions. These cookies do not contain personal information. You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time.
