Jadual Air Pasang Surut Kota Kinabalu (KK Tide Table 2026–2027)
When is high tide in Kota Kinabalu?
The table below shows today's and this week's high and low tides at Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia time, and a full month view to December 2027. Kota Kinabalu usually has one or two high tides a day. These are estimates for planning, not for navigation.
These are SabahGuide's own predictions from published tide-gauge data for Kota Kinabalu, checked against an independent tide service in October 2026: on days with clear tides the times agreed within about 30 minutes, but small in-between tides can differ by an hour or be left out (we drop highs and lows less than 10 cm apart). For boating and navigation, use the official tables from the Navy's National Hydrographic Centre.

How to read this table
- Times are Malaysia time (UTC+8), to the nearest few minutes.
- Heights are metres above (+) or below (−) mean sea level. Official tables and most tide sites use a lower zero point, so their figures are higher by a fixed amount; the rise and fall is the same.
- Spring tides (the biggest range) come around new and full moon. On those days the low tide exposes the most reef and sand.
- Strong wind and heavy rain can push real water levels above or below the prediction.
Ringkasan (BM)
Q Why does Kota Kinabalu sometimes have only one high tide a day?
The tide at Kota Kinabalu is mostly diurnal. In the gauge data the daily tide components (K1, O1) are larger than the twice-daily M2 component, so on many days there is one big high and one big low, with a small second pair or none at all.
Q Can I use this for boating or fishing?
As a guide for planning, yes: beach walks, fishing spots, island trips. Not for navigation. These are our own predictions from published gauge constants, not the official tide tables, and weather can shift real water levels. Boat operators and skippers should use the official Malaysian tide tables from the Navy's National Hydrographic Centre.
Q Why are the heights different from other tide websites?
We show heights above or below mean sea level. Most tide sites and the official tables measure from a lower zero point (chart datum or lowest low water), so their numbers are all higher by a fixed amount. The rise and fall between tides is what matters, and that is the same.
